Venison Tortilla Wraps with Homemade Dressing

This recipe is a fun and simple way to introduce your family to the delicious flavors of venison.

It’s designed with kids in mind—easy to make and packed with familiar flavors they’ll love. The homemade dressing brings a tasty twist, making each bite a celebration of your wild harvest. Ingredients

For the wraps:

1 pack of small tortillas

500 g venison mince

1 onion, finely chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 pack of sliced cheddar cheese

Gherkins (optional, but kids often enjoy the crunch)

For the homemade dressing:

2 dl mayonnaise

3 tsp ketchup

2 tsp sweet mustard

10 gherkins, finely chopped

1 tsp white sugar

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp white wine vinegar

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions for the meat

Start by heating a pan over medium heat with a little oil.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.

Add the venison mince, season with salt and pepper and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Once the venison is cooked through, set it aside.

Instructions for the sauce

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet mustard, chopped gherkins, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and white wine vinegar.

Stir everything together until smooth, then season with salt and pepper.

Refrigerate the dressing until you’re ready to use it.

Bring it all together

Lay out the tortillas and spread a generous spoonful of the cooked venison mince onto each one.

Fry the tortillas, filling side down, in a hot pan with a little oil until the bottoms are golden and crispy.

Flip the tortillas, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the venison and let it melt.

Remove from the pan and drizzle with the homemade dressing.

Top with your favorite fresh veggies—lettuce works great for a fresh crunch, but feel free to add tomatoes, cucumbers or anything your family loves.

Roll them up, serve and enjoy!
